Scamps is a Horrible Pet Store

About 10 or so years ago I went into Scamps in Portland, Oregon. There they were keeping two ceratophrys(horned frogs) in one tank. I say were, because the green one had the albino half way down it's throat. When I informed an employee about the situation (the albino probably could've been saved), she just shrugged her shoulders and said "oh well"! I was hopeful that they'd changed their policy and that they'd become more knowledgeable about herps since then. Unfortunately they haven't. I'm up here in Portland visiting the grandparents and I went into Scamps yesterday. While they actually had their pac-man frogs separated this time, something else in the store turned my stomache. They have a Cane Toad (Bufo marinus) in the SAME TANK as a Gibba Turtle (Phrynops gibbus). I've just done a little reading on P. gibbus and guess what they primarily feed on in the wild? That's right, Anurans (specifically larvae). Also from what I read, they're quite aggressive. I called Scamps to let them know what idiots they are. When I told them that both animals would likely die if the turtle bit the toad, the guy on the other side had things like this to say:
" They're on opposite sides of the tank like, 90% of the time"
"I can't separate them, I'm not in charge of reptiles"
"The toad is pretty large, I don't think the turtle will bite him" (The toad is no where near full grown, maybe 5" max STV)
If you'd also like to call and complain their number is (Mods, please edit this if this is not allowed) (503) 281-9777. I was going to purchase the Cane Toad ($24.95), but didn't for two reasons. 1)I really don't want to make the space for a toad that's going to become a giant. 2)I have conflicted feelings about supporting this poor excuse for a pet store, but I'd hate to see both animals die due to Scamps' ignorance. If Anybody else would like it I'd be more than happy to purchase and ship it to them. Otherwise, give Scamps He11!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
