Sand Not Fine Enough?

I'm worried that my sand may be a little too chunky for a juvenile axolotl.. However, I'm new, and I'd love some feedback.

Its hard to tell the size without something for reference. Put something on top like a ruler or penny. Or if you are in doubt don't put it in until the critter is bigger just in case.
