Question: Sand/Gravel Size

I'm setting up my first axolotl tank and am looking at my sand options. It's going to be a riparium style planted tank with frogbit to completely shade the water. I think "Peace River" from CaribSea looks very natural and it is:

Average Small Grain Size: 1.0 mm
Average Large Grain Size: 2.0 mm

Is that too large or an axolotl?

The pic makes it look huge I think 1 mm is fine

1mm is fine, 2mm may be a little big for a baby

I actually have this in my planted river tank... it's not as big as that picture makes it look lol.

This sounds like a really wierd comparison... but my "wishing well" is right by the tank....

Grab a dime.... His ear is about the size of the pepples, some are a tiny bit bigger or smaller, but they are pretty small.
