My axolotl has to have salt baths cause there is some white cotton balls on his gills (fungus)
I was just wondering - I bought aquarium salt cause it seems safer than using just normal salt,
but my question is - I bought two of them, one store brand and one from Tropical (it has aloe added to it and UV filter which should make water blue) - is it safe for axolotls?

no. aloe is 100% toxic to axolotls and should never be used. Simple non-iodized salt is all you need for salt baths. be very very careful when doing salt baths as you can easily do more harm than good if done incorrectly.

Don’t use the one with aloe. it’s highly toxic to axolotls

Thank you! I had no idea about this but I'm so glad I asked ❤️
