Hello!

I wanted to do a 'check up' on my beloved Spotted Salamander, Tummi.

I've had her 5 yrs now, rescued from certain death when she came out of hibernation early and the ground was frozen as solid as a block of glass for weeks after she came out.

TIPS FOR NEWBIES
She seems as happy as can be, the best thing I did was not touch her. I have had contact with her only like 4 times in 5 years. And I keep her cool. She eats baby Nightcrawlers. I use a moistened coconut substrate in a fish tank, with a pool of water for emergencies and summer fun. ;)

MY QUESTION FOR GURUS:
Here is a photo, I belive it is fron her glamor shot. - NOPE! Not the glamour... This is a photo taken a few hours after she ate, she gets a little bloated - wow that sounded funny.

Now over to the 'docs' - How does she look???

And is it ok that she gets this bloated after eating a baby Nightcrawler????

Is she a good weight?? Skin looks good???

And the glamor shot...

She hadn't eaten in a while before this photo shoot.

she does look a little bloated I wouldn't be concerned (as long as she get's better in a few days)

Oh she's gorgeous! What's her name?

Thanks for pointing it out - because it made me just realize mine is huge... I often wonder how much she has grown in my care and how big she was when I got her. I kinda think she was already almost this big when I got her. Prolly just got fatter. ;)

Always fed her worms, slugs maybe 3 times... For the last couple years I have found that Baby Nightcrawlers are perfect because they fill her up with one feeding yet are not too big for her. (Get sher too bloated, so it makes me nervous)

Thanks for sharing!!!
