I was wondering if feeding my tiger salamander one superworm a day is bad? he's about (11 inches) and i'd say he's chunky. I could include pictures. But my reasoning for posting this is I'm afraid of impaction and superworms are the only thing I have access to at certain times. Whenever I can I feed him crickets & earthworms. In your opinions do you think I'm feeding him too less, too often, etc. thanks in advance for everyone who will take the time to reply!

See this article from our Caudata Culture section on how much and how often to feed: Caudata Culture Articles - Tiger Salamander 101

Tiger salamanders do not need to be fed daily. If the animal is chunky, cut back on its food.

I personally don't feed superworms. I'm concerned about their strong mandibles (I would behead if I were going to use) and their exoskeleton which I've read anecdotal reports of believing these to be responsible for impaction. Others who feed superworms will hopeful share their experiences.
