Does anyone have any experience using safestart to cycle a tank? My current readings are
Ph: 6.4
Ammonia: 1 (should I do a water change to get this down?)
Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0
My axolotl has been tubbed while I tried to get my tank to cycle. Do I need to put him back into the tank to cycle with safestart/does safestart need an animal producing ammonia? Or do I just dump all the safestart in (I have a 20 gallon with an aquaclear filter) and let it run for 2 weeks without doing a water change or adding livestock? Will the ph of 6.4 be a problem cycling the tank? Thanks, my cycle crashed and it has been such a pain to get it started again.
