Safe rocks

Would these rocks be safe for an axolotl tank. MARGOGARDENPRODUCTS.COM
I plan on drilling holes in them and pulling plant roots though to hold the plants down. Th substrate is black sand and i'm hoping the plants ill root into that.

They seem to be safe. Maybe you should boil them in hot water to be sure since they are landscaping rocks and probably not washed thoroughly.

(p.s. they may have those at a hardware store cheaper )

Thanks for the info. I got a bag of the large eggs shaped ones at home Depot for around $11. Here is a picture of my work in progress. I currently have a small 3 inch axolotl in a 10 gallon grow out tank and plan on getting a few more once I'm done with the 72 gallon and it cycled. How many would you recommend for this size tank. I breed Dart frogs as a hobby and have always loved axolotls.
