Can I use reptile sand substrate for an axie tank? I have a 20l tank and have live plants and everything setup just wanted to be sure cuase the sand says calcium on it so I wasn't sure.

if its calcium, its probably carbonate and will be alkaline. Do you have more info on it, did you check the pH of the water?

+1 to the above answer... As a rule, use aquarium sand for aquaria. Natural is best. Do not use pebbles for Axolotls -- you probably know that already though. If you use a silicate, do not get a colored one as the dyes will eventually leech out into your tank.
That still leaves some very nice La Plata and White sand and, my favorite, the black sands.
