Reptile food dish

I just finished building a diy 44 gallon tank and wanted to know about the reptile food dish some have in theur tanks.
for those of you with them, have you noticed any contaminants leeching from it into the water? How lon have you had it in there?
another question is do you prefer this option to feeding them in a separate container?

I have an exo terra food dish in my tank - it's safe, it's not going to leech anything into the water. i've had it in there for months now.

I prefer it to feeding my lotl in a separate container because moving him to another container can be stressful for him. And he's learned that the dish = food so it's not hard to get him to eat

I have an exo terra feeding dish too. It's really good when feeding pellets etc. so that the pellets don't go flying around and axies eating sand because of that.
