Well people, I just finished with the complete remaking of http://www.tylototriton.org. Especially the lay-out has changed quite drastically. There have also been some new photos added.

So everyone take a look!

Ps: if anyone has photos of interest feel free to contact me at m.bakkers@tylototriton.org
We're especially looking for more photos of asperrimus complex animals and T. vietnamensis

Looking very good, Mark!

One trivial item: the title line of your site is currently "<title>New Page 1</title>". Thus, when someone saves your site into their "Favorites", it is saved as "New Page 1", which is not very useful. I'd suggest changing this.

Thank you Jennifer, I missed that one. It should be fixed now...

It's now possible to subscribe to the Tylototriton.org newsletter!

The newsletter will contain update information on the site, articles on Asian salamanders and newts, studbook updates, interviews, photos and of course the latest news on Asian amphibians.

There is a small form on http://www.tylototriton.org where you can simply enter your e-mailaddress.
Wouter and I are aiming to produce a newsletter every 2-3 months or so, it won't be as long as the caudata.org newsletter but it should make an interesting reading

Thanks Mark,

I think the first newsletter will be ready in the first week of january, it will depend on how much free time we have.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
