I have a few questions. ;)
Now a days, it's really hot, and we're struggling to keep the temperature in Lotte's tank under 20C. We're doing daily water changes.
I was thinking, what about putting her in the refridgerator on the hottest days?
How long can they be in the refridgerator, and how often do you need to do water changes and feeding, when in the refridgerator?

You don't have to struggle to keep the temperature under 20c. It can go a little higher then that and your axolotl will be fine as long as your water conditions are good i.e. ammonia, nitrites etc and your axolotl is in good health. My tank has hit 24c some days and they are fine.

As for fridging they can be kept in there for weeks. Water changes need to be daily 100%, using fresh dechlorinated water also kept chilled so as to be the same temperature.

You can try feeding whilst fridging but the axolotl will usually lose its appetite as the colder temperature slows the metabolism and they lose the appetite for food, but it can still be offered on a daily basis.

With regards to the daily water changes you are carrying out on the tank, how much water are you removing each time?

Good to hear. So the water doesn't have to be from the cycled tank while she is the the refridgerator?

I'm changing aprx 20% of the water. :)

when in the fridge the water just needs to be dechlorinated, not from the cycled tank.
Tank cycling is to build up bacteria to destroy the ammonia and it's byproducts caused by the axie. Whilst in the fridge you will be performing 100% water changes so ammonia build up is not an issue.
