Referrals

Hi all,

I have a question about referrals. I recently noticed when i click on my statistics tab that i have a total of 7 referrals till date. I have no idea how referrals are tallied nor know how i got them. I don't even know if i can give a referral as my username darkmaverick.

I did recommend caudata.org to 2 aquarium shop owners, 2 vet colleagues and some of my friends back in singapore. However i just verbally told them to visit caudata.org and they can look for me (darkmaverick) there.

Is there a correct way to give a referral?

I don't think there is a correct way. When someone registers they are prompted to type in the name of a person that referred them. If they entered darkmaverick than you would get a referral. Referrals don't do much of anything so there is no reason to ask people to put your name in.
