My female has these red spots on the end of her tail.
The appeared the other day shortly after she had been 'freaking out' and swimming very rapidly around one of the tank - we think she was trying to eat one of the rosy reds and it was evading her.

She appears fine otherwise - comes out to say hi when she sees us, good appetite, acting normal, and there is no whiteness or 'fuzz'. You will notice that there is also some 'notching' in the edge of her fin, which I think appeared around the same time.

I think she has broken some capillaries in her tail with all her crazy swimming - does that seem right?

That just looks like shes knocked her tail on something and a little blood spot has appeared, it should heal in time :D

Thanks Layna.
That's what my husband and I thought, but we wanted to be sure. Wouldn't want to ignore something that would be hard to treat later .

Haha true, just keep an eye on it and all should be okay :D
