I have had 3 red efts for a week now. They are eating waxworms and flightless fruit-flies. I have a 10 gallon tank set up with sloping gravel with sphagnum moss, tank is half submerged with an inch of water. I have a tiny log hide as well as fake plants, my efts are always hiding huddled together, don't seem too active. They only step out a few inches to grab food. Is this normal or what should I change? They seemed way more active in the woods where I found them.
Thanks,
Allie.

Efts are completely terrestrial and don't need any standing water. Think about the habitat where you found them, and mimic that. Shoot for lots of leaf litter and loose debris that they can hide under.
