Wow! I wonder if those characteristics are heritable or a less controlled natural variation?
 
Hai Tim, there has already been a mention of red Cynops p. in two other cases (an article I have somewhere I believe in the Japanese journal of herpetology)but these pictures are very clear/good. The photo of the article is somewhat less. Interesting color anomalies , no ?
