Hello everyone,

Three weeks ago I adopted four adult eastern newts in a paludarium setup. The newts were a bit skinny when I got them, but three of them have gotten to a healthier weight, while the fourth has stayed extremely skinny and, to my knowledge, does not eat. The fourth one also stays on land a bit (maybe 25–50%) more than the other three and does not have the same paddle-like tail as the others. The other three eat frozen brine shrimp and frozen blood worms like crazy. The fourth will be underwater, ostensibly hunting for food, smelling blood worms right under its nose, and will just keep moving like they aren't there. It won't eat brine shrimp, newt pellets, or anything else I've tried, like wax worms. I've cut up red wriggler worms, and it took many tries, but eventually it ate a small piece of one two weeks ago, but no luck since then. It's cold in their room (probably 65-67 degrees). The newt seems dangerously skinny to me, as it was when I got it, and I don't know what else to do to get it eating like the other 3. Let me know if you have any ideas.
