Can Tylototriton and tiger salamanders be kept in the same tank setup? Some thing like this just less water and more land section? http://i.imgur.com/goHYM.jpg

No. Mixing species is never good. The tiger will likely attack the newt, which has toxins that will harm the tiger. There are good care sheets for these species on caudataculture.org just use the search function and give both animals appropriate seperate enclosures.

oh ok thanks, i figured as much was just curious. Thank you for the reply

I am very sorry but that is a really silly question to ask (But also a very commonly asked one). They are both from entirely different continents and aren't even from the same Genus and have different Habitat requirements. You also need to worry about cross contamination... And like Jess said both have entirely different Toxins that more than likely will be secreted if either individuals gets stressed out, and more than likely they will both get stressed out by the fact they have never seen either species before lol.

Please read that thread, you would be surprised how many people ask that question but in all honesty the answer is always the same lol
