Question on tank set up

this is my recently set up tank (i have yet to plant it) with two jap. fire bellies and a european toad. this tank is an upgrade from the last one and i wanted to add some more newts. I was thinking of 2-3 marbled newts but i dont know if the two will be compatible socially. If not then i was wondering what newts would be ok in my tank.

You should not put the toad with your newts its not a good idea at all and if you want more newts you should get more fire bellies.

yes I know but for the past 6-8 years they have been fine and the toad seems to have no interest in the newts even when they walk right in front of him or crawl over him. I take good care of my animals and i know what's going on in each of my enclosures if there seams like a potential problem i will be there to fix it. I can put the toad in another enclosure but then i would like to have a animal that will use the land so its not dead space (thus why i thought of marbled newts). Is there a firebellied that is more terrestrial than the japanese?

I forgot to mention that the tank is 50+ gal (cant remember exact volume)
