Question: Are Ambystomas Territorial?

So a few days ago I flipped a barrel that I have found a A. Gracile under before, and sure enough there he was.

There is another barrel right next to it that I found it under before, I figured that it had just moved from the one barrel to the next. But I decided to flip the other one just in case and there was another one! And so I got to thinking if they were territorial.

So I guess if they were territorial the one that was there first ( I think the one that was under the second barrel ) would kick the other out. The problem is that I cant just monitor them because they may just move anyway ( especially since it has been raining ).

So does anyone know if they are territorial? -Seth

I'm inclined to say no. I keep a couple different species of Ambystoma, and will often find multiples in the same burrow.
