Hello folks,
A while back somebody posted a picture or pictures of what I thought were dried Tylototriton sold as food/ medicinal ingredients? Something about them coming from Thailand or somewhere else in asia? I tried searching the forum for hours and could not find it.
All I found was Tim's old thread of ( hahaha) Japanese newt "delicacies" but these were Hynobius and Cynops.
Any help appreciated. ( because in there was a link Tim posted which lead to another picture depicting a man holding up a newt on a stick )
I was about to question my father who still lives in Malaysia if such "oddities" were sold in the medicinal shops there and I wanted to show him the aforementioned picture.
Many thanks.
Terry
P.s. ( to quote Paris) Don't eat the newts...
