Pygmaeus escapee

Murphy's law just hit me in the face today.
I normally keep my juvies in a plastic box, in my bathtub(with a little water in it). Yesterday I cleaned the box and forgot to put it back in the bathtub. The newts have never escaped the box before. The box is covered but there was a small small hole which I hadnt covered cause it seemed way to small and the newts have never escaped through it before. This morning I found one seemingly dead juvenile on my carpet

It is very dehydrated, it is like a shell left...
I thought directly that is was dead but then I thought that you never know with newts and put "the corpse" in water to rehydrate it.
I dont have much hope for it but if you have any pointers they would be appreciated.

He/she is dead for sure now, I am going to conserve its body for future generation to see, or whatever ;)
If someone is interested in a small triturus pygmaeus juvenile corpse in mint condition(looks to be anyway) mail me! Museums biologists etc.
