Hi
My axolotls were fighting around a year ago and one of them was badly injured, he had a missing leg and his gills were all lying down. So i separated them, and with some perseverance I managed to get him healthy again, his leg grew back and his gills are lovely and fluffy/ standing up again., he gained a lot of weight and now is a healthy axie. I kept them separated, and now I want to put them back together in the same tank, however I am not sure the best way to do it or if this is the best idea. Any thoughts?

Does anyone have any other ideas?

None that you don't probably already know. You should get a transparent divider, as has been suggested. Your tank should definitely be large enough for 2 (20g long minimum), have at least two hiding places (one for each axie) and they should be fed individually instead of a single bowl (if you feed them bloodworms, say) and keep them well fed so they aren't hungry. Theres no a magic solution, they'll either get on or they won't. Its also a little bit of a concern that one has been left in the tank and has probably started to think of it as 'his' territory, which is why the clear divider is a good idea. At the end of the day there's a chance they just won't live together in the tank you have and theres not much you can do about it.
