For the past few months I have been making salamanders of east tennessee episodes on youtube. I am now starting a seperate series called salamander life cycles, each episode will show each stage of the life cycle of the species or genus that the episode is focused on. my first one is on the genus Pseudotriton, red and mud salamanders. nobody has footage like I got in this video on youtube, I show the eggs, the larvae, the juveniles and the adults. I wish I could have found p. montanus eggs but they have never even been photographed as far as I know and are usually deep underground in cavities in muddy springs. I got lucky with the ruber eggs under a large rock in a spring. This video is only the begginning of whats to come, I plan on making one on every species I can, getting their life cycles, behaviour, habitats, etc. HD footage of aneides aeneus is part of whats to come... enjoy.
