One of my female C. Orientalis has been rubbing the side of her face against the ground every time I feed her. She's been eating mainly whiteworms, with the occasional piece of nightcrawler. Both worm species are kept in coconut coir, but I wash/pick it off of them as much as I can before feeding. Is this behavior normal?

My salamanders do the same thing when I feed European nightcrawlers, and I'm sure its from the slightly bitter taste. I really don't know if white worms are bitter to newts, but it possibly is from the nightcrawlers your feeding (if they're red wigglers or european nightcrawlers). Despite any taste, they would still be perfectly fine to feed.
