Possibly a Paramesotriton caudopunctatus ?

Hi guys a bit of help neede here , i have a compleatly mixed bag if you like of warty's i've bought at different pet shops in north west england over the last few years ... one is definately P.chinesis , and i'm getting a professional photographer friend of mine to take proper pictures of the others ...
but i'm wondering could this be Paramesotriton caudopunctatus? it has no spots on the tail , but is more the shape of this species than the others , as far as i can tell from the pics on C.culture.....possibly a hybrid ?







sorry i don't have a very good camera and blackberry's weren't relly designed for wildlife photography

I would say it is a P.caudopunctatus too.
I see you keep P.chinensis with it, in what looks like not a huge amount of water volume...this is a REALLY bad idea...

It is the caudopunctatus indeed. I've had them too, years ago. I gave them away. Too bad, I can't get them anywhere

yes its in a temporary tank, whilst i moved tanks around in my flat i broke the larger glass tank , i might move it to a tank of it's own it's been getting bullied a bit in here , i bought it a while ago because it was in the shop with a tank full of paddletails !
i might just by a much bigger tank ....
what do you think ? is it always going to be bullied in with the chinensis?

Yes, it is a caudopunctatus. Sometimes chinensis and caudopunctatus can coexist with no problems at all, but it is better to separate them to avoid any potential problems.
