Possible T.verrucosus larvae

I found some of these in my T.v tank and believe they are T. v larvae. The only other possibility is that I missed some eggs in the plants from a pair of T. pygmaeus. I also plucked out another dozen today of new borns. Does anyone have any verrucosus larvae about 2 to 3 weeks old for me to compare them too?

Yes they are, Dave, congrats on your new additions. Tony, are those larvae of the ones you got from me?

Best wishes,

John

. I wasn't 100% sure of the sex of the female but it's good to have it confirmed. Good luck with the youngsters ;).

About 20 swimming around so far Joseph. Thanks for the confirmation John. They didn't look like my other triturus babies, but I had moved some plants around.

Have any plans for them? Heard that they prefer slightly warmer temps.

They'll be my first verifiable "Captive Borns" so I'll keep them and in a year or 2 breed them, so I'll have actual "Captive Bred" stock.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
