Hi, ok. I have a Tiger Salamander who's pretty much full grown, I think he's at least a foot long from nose to tail. I couldn't get a hold of any other type of food that he'd eat at the time except super worms. He was refusing earthworms which he does sometimes and the pet store was out of crickets. I know that super worms can cause an impaction problem however I've fed him five at once with no problems before. Now I read in another post that I should only give him one or two at one time however before I read that I gave him 9 at once when I fed him. Now I am very worried about the problems it might cause him. It's been a little over 24 hours since I fed him the worms and he doesn't look much different or stressed. He hadn't really moved around much and his stomach is a little big but no different then he'd look if he'd ate a large earthworm or two. So how worried should I be about impaction problems and how long would it be before I know he's fine and has no problems?

If he has an impaction problem he probally would stop eating. I wouldn't worry about it Tiger Salamanders are probally the toughest Salamander out there. Just make sure he has a water bowl to soak in. Food is always easier to pass when an animal is well hydrated. He proabally isn't moving just because he is so full. Just don't feed him for a couple days he will pass everything. I really wouldn't worry much

Alright thanks for your reply, it puts my mind a little more at ease. I'll continue keeping an eye on him and I always make sure he has fresh water. Thanks again.
