Hi my melanoid has virtually no right 2 gills his others are partially grown however these others seem to have been bitten or been caught. Maybe his other axolotl friend has been the cause. Also I'm worried about his healing he isn't very fat and is already trying to heal a leg will he be able to cope with this. The gills are definitely different from yesterday as they were bigger, they also look bitten because it's just 2 stubs, does anyone know what I should do.

It is likely they have been bitten off. Axolotls have amazing healing abilities. Keep him in cool, clean, dechlorinated water and keep an eye for fungus growth (looks like cotton wool).

What are you feeding your axolotls? If you continue to have issues with the other one biting this one you may want to separate them.

give them hidingplaces, plus plenty food!!normally they like 2 hang out toghether!!

Thank you, I feed them bloodworms tablets as advised by the place I purchased them, and she loves them. After reading, I started feeding them pellets, and periodically feed them Dendrobena earthworms and he likes them better. But I only purchased the worms 2 weeks ago and I want to let the earthworms breed. But should I even bother?

Yes, earthworms and good quality newt or axolotl pellets make suitable staple diets for axolotls and are far more nutritious than bloodworm. Bloodworm is great for a little variety but I would stick to the earthworms as their main diet. You want to aim for to their bellies to be as wide as their head. If they are well fed and have a couple of hides to choose from, they may be less likely to nip at each other. However if you do continue to have problems it may be best to separate them.
