Pool Filter Sand - Glass??

Hi there, I have been on a search for Pool Filter sand for the last week for my axolotl.. Finally found some, went and picked it up. When I got home I saw it was actually recycled glass for pool filters, rather than sand. I am extremely hesitant to put this in my tank. Please just confirm with me if I am right here, that I should return it, or has anyone tried this in any kind of tank?

I have never seen recycled glass sand so I would say yes to return it.

I have ground pumice sand in 1 tanks, ground garnet in another and fine coal slag as well.

play sand like for sand boxes is also safe just need a ton of rinsing
