yes the newt is nearly totally aquatic but should not really be kept with tropical fish ,it is tolerant of high temperatures but the temps required for fish may be too high ,plus the newt, which is a spanish ribbed newt can grow quite large and may eat your smaller fish...

thx guys

(i think is female).

thx again :D

Vassilis, I recommend that you move this newt to a different tank (separate from the fish). Don't use this kind of gravel. Ribbed newts "gulp" their food; if they eat a piece of this gravel, it can kill them.

Jennifer Macke you have right

so i made a specially room for feeding him with dif gravel so doesnt hurt him (at the very first he had this problem)

Is this animal seeing good underwater?or is semi-blind?many times is up to her food,it smell it and she knows it there but i think cant see it!( i feeding it with frozen blood worms)

Vassili I don't know any pet shop in Athens cause I'm from Crete

But I can tell you that you it's not really necessary to find a company for your newt, cause as I learned here, newts are loners. They live happily alone. I also have a ribbed newt and he is fine on his own! In addition ribbed newts are a bit aggressive to each other and you might have problems if you put 2 together. I'm not an expert and I don't know if I'm completely right though...
