I'm going to try and get an axi sometime in late August, but for now I'm just cycling my tank. The tank is twenty gallons, with a ReptiClear F250-350 filter and airstone. I've got it planted with java moss, an amazon sword plant, a water hyacinth and duckweed. There are a few very small snails (maximum size 2 mm) that came in on the plants. I've got stone slabs and sand as my substrate, with a few scattered smaller rocks (hopefully none small enough to swallow!) and a terra cotta hide. I really don't want to mess this up for my first axolotl, so any tips or recommendations would be extremely welcome.

Looks good to me, I would suggest getting a thermometer to make sure you are able to maintain a temperature of 72 degrees or lower. The digital ones are better than the stick on ones and are pretty cheap too.

Thanks! I have a floater in there but it's a bit hard to see in the picture.
