HELP!!!! my adult eastern newt got out of her tank somehow and i found her on the floor covered in dust very dry, i picked her up washed her off and let her soak in a tiny container with food for an hour or two and returned her to my enclosure with 3 other newts, they have been living happily for a week to two, but she has been lathragic ever since and sitting on her terrestrial area instead of swimming around like usual, !!!she has these two strange white spots on her now and her toes and tip of her tail are turning gray, she also feels rougher then usually and not slimy like the rest do!!!! can someone please help me, i can’t find anything related to this online, she is female and wild caught (researched first ofc) in all pics attached she was handled with extreme care, she’s also not been eating as much and just sits on her rock all day even when i put her in the water she swims back to it. please please help me, i want to make sure she’s okay, thanks.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
