I think it would be a good idea to get some food, ive heard lots of good things about daphnia.

Hi there,
I was in the same boat a month ago. First thing well done for separating them as mum and dad would have eaten them. Second thing you need to separate mum and dad so they don't breed again too soon. Females will prioritise laying and producing eggs (which takes a heck of a lot of time, effort and energy) over their own health so they need to be separate for her health.

Daphnia are good for feeding babvy axolotls or newly hatched brine shrimp. Look it up on the axolotl site. Raising them is fun but as I found out VERY VERY time consuming.

Hatching in just one week is quite quick. What temperature are they at?

Hope this helps,
Leanne

have you thought of culling them until you are ready to raise young?

Yeah, if you have too many it's much more difficult to raise - try about 20-30 to start with.

I feed mine from the pond, but there are lots of ways to raise them. Have a search around the forum - I posted something a while ago describing how I raised my last lot.;)
