Plants for my tank

Are plants from the pet stores and plants from the craft stores the same thing?(silk and plastic of coarse). where is a place I can find 18 inch, 12 inch and 6 inch plants for my axolotls without being over charged? also do you know of some where to get artifical root deco at a decent price?

Ebay has some really nice ones, but why not use live ones? They will be far more beneficial for your tank in the long run, and if you have seen algae in your tank, you definitely have the light for them . As to ones from the craft shop, there is a chance that the plastics involved won't be as high quality as one designed specifically to go into a tank, and as such may leech toxins into your water.
As to artificial roots, ebay once again has a good variety, as well as some nice real pieces at very reasonable prices. Or, if you have access to a heat gun, get some PVC pipes (in a well ventilated area) and make some yourself
