So i've had planaria in my tank for about 3 months now and they have been sticking to my decorations and filter. I'm moving to a new place and bought a new tank but want to keep the old decorations so i'm curious how i should clean the decorations in order to keep planaria out of my new tank. I have rocks, driftwood, and plastic decorations. Would drying them in the sun kill the planaria?

What else is in your tank? You might go chemical

My axolotls are in a 10 gallon for this week so both of my 29's have absolutely nothing in them. Is there a chemical that will kill planaria or would bleach be fine?

Oh my bad i misread your post. I thought the tank would be occupied while getting rid of the planaria.

Very hot to boiling water dunk would be a non chemical method as well as good scrubbing.

Watch how much you feed so a planaria bloom doesn't happen again ;) I had a bloom in my saltwater tank that just went away after sand bed cleaning and reduced feeding ;)

Thanks for the advice!
I had really old sand that sat for a while and was moist so i think that's how it all started. I'm hoping it never happens again! :)
