Places to Buy

Besides members from this forum, are there any other places to buy newts and sals that are captive bred. I'd rather not buy at my pet store because 1) they are wild caught and 2) the newts and sals there do not interest me and they look sick.:nono: So, I was thinking about kinsnake.com but there are a lot of wild caught amphibians there. Any suggestions?

I'm not from the US so cannot really recommend a website, but I think you might get better replies and advice if you could provide details of what species you are after?

Well, right now I am looking for T. marmoratus. But just in general, where can I buy CB newts? Thanks for your reply.

I don't know of any places that sell only CB newts except for here.

Instead of looking for "places to buy", I would recommend looking for something else: patience. CB marmoratus are relatively easy to come by, but it won't happen today or tomorrow, it may take a year or two until you find them. In the meantime, resist the urge to acquire the easily-available WC of other species.

Kingsnake does have CB amphibians sometimes, but be careful. If someone is claiming to be selling CB adults, they could be lieing about it. CB herps are normally sold as juveniles.

In about 3 to 6 months you can probably pick up some T. marmoratus at the Havre De Grace reptile show at Md.

I'll be at the All Md. show at Havre De Grace on Dec. 18 from 9:00 to about 12:30. I have a Christmas party to go to in the evening. After that I'm taking a couple months off from the Havre De Grace show. My next show after tomorrow will be Feb 26th at Hamburg Pa.

If your heart is set on T. marmoratus you could try placing a want add on caudata.org and a want add on Kingsnake.com
