its a normal blue/green caudo-the pic was taken in a beam of sunlight though, so more colour than that of with a flash came out

These blue/green ones are collected at a different locality than the regular brown ones. They are not a color mutation or anything like that.

They also usually have real nice bright orange/red bellies, sometimes with very little pattern.
 
Are these animals generally available in the trade or were they part of a special shipment? I ask because I have been debating on some brown ones at a local shop (not even sure which species).

The blue/green form has been imported into the US and the UK on a few occasions. I imported some in 2004 and I expect they will be available again at some point. Send me an email and I might be able to help you locate some.
