I just ran across this recent article summary and thought it interesting regarding the ambystomatid hybrid complexes as they use parthenogenetic-like processess (kleptogenesis) to produce offspring. Not to imply that there is any correlation, however this new research does shed some light on parthogenesis and processes...at least for some whiptail lizards.
