Hello All,

I will post a video soon of the Chinese Giant Salamander Project, in the Video we find what we thought were two different species of Paramesotriton. Because of the editing they have been jumbled together, we knew one of them was caudopunctatus but the other we where not sure. Morphologically they looked different while we were in the field but now I wonder if they are all Paramesotriton caudopunctatus.

I don't keep these guys so don't know how polymorphic they are, so what do you think?

These are not my photos they are Ben Tapley's of ZSL.

The first two pictures are definitely caudopunctatus

Kind Regards
Jay

More pictures of the newt in question, as you can see it has virtually no spots.

I would say both animals are what is at least commonly known in the hobby as caudopunctatus, but i´m not familiar enough with the latest revisions and what´s been happening to Allomesotriton to comment on wether that´s currently the case.
