Paramesotriton laoensis

I was just looking around at the links on this web page, when I came across livingunderworld.org. In this website I came across pictures of an incredible looking warty newt, Paramesotriton laoensis. It looks like it has yellow markings on its back, but I'm not sure if thats just the picture playing tricks. The description says tannish. Does anyone have any information at all about this species? I'm curious as to whether it is an endangered species or not? Thanks for all of your help.

Hi Ryan,
this species has been described only recently (STUART & PAPENFUSS 2002) and only little information is available. However, you can order a copy of the original article here:

You can either order a .pdf-file or a Reprint. Not much known about this species' distribution or its conservational status at the moment.
