i'm looking into getting a pair of paramesotriton, either deloustali, laoensis, or hongkongensis.
i gather 15 gallon tank minimum.
which of the mentined species best tolerates higher temps?
Are there any other little things anyone thinks i should take into account before i decide?

for example: can one species be kept in bigger groups than another?

Hongkongensis will probably be the easiest to get hold of. They are pretty aggressive, but only when food is on the go. I find them very entertaining and easy to look after.

if your worried about higher temps it may be better to go for cynops ensicauda as they can tolerate higher temps than most..

uk in the house, brap! anyway, yea, i really want paramesotriton but ensicauda are good too, i think i can keep more ensicauda popei in a 15 gallon than a paramesitriton, and temp is an issue, my room is top of the house, dont currently have any cooling, just cynops orientalis which would probably rather be cooler, im sure they weren't happy yesterday with the heat, i put some ice in tho, cheers for the input
