Hi everyone, new to the hobby, looking into building a palidarium, probably around $40-55 gallons. I am looking to have a full ecosystem, including springtails, daphnia, and isopod. I’ve done my research and I know generally most do not support tank mates for newts or salamanders, but could cherry shrimp and smaller guppies be compatible? I am fine with a newt snagging a guppy every now and then as long as it isn’t a health risk, I will have a separate reserve tank for them to breed in, also meaning I can lower the temp in the paludarium for the salamanders breeding and seasonal changes. Are there any species, newt or salamander, that will utilize the paludarium year round? Sorry for the long post, any advice would be appreciated.

Clarification, by year round I meant use both terrestrial and aquatic habitats, I know most newts use each separately at some point, but I was wondering if any would use both.
