Paddletail still having problems

hey for the past 2 weeks my newt hasnt eaten or really pooped along with he stays hidden all day and almost never comes up for air. I've read they they might not come up for air as much if the water is highly oxygenated. yeah I kinda need some help because I've been reading up and still cant find anything to help the problem.

Yes, if there´s enough disolved oxygen in the water, this species will require very little supplementary breathing.
What are you feeding? Are the water parametres optimal? Temp?

Temp stays under 19°C, been feeding chopped meal worms and he was eating no prob, and the tank setup is great for the little guy

Try some earthworms - meal worms are a bit tricky for them to digest due to the tough shell. If he doesn't go for that, try waxworms (but don't make them a staple).
