Illness/Sickness: Paddle-tail Newt Upside Down

I have a 13 year old paddle-tail that has been laying upside down lifeless on the bottom of its tank. Every time I see it I have a mild heart attack, then I go in and poke it and it rolls back over. Temps good, ammonia and pH are good too. It's not thin so I know it's been eating. I have never seen this behavior before, so I'm stumped. Maybe old age? Any ideas I would love to know.

13 years old wow! I'm sorry I wouldn't know why it does this.. Maybe just getting some R&R during it's old age? Is it still active otherwise?

That doesn't sound normal to me. But congrats on having a long-lived newt!
