I have noticed that my Pachytriton (Labiatus I think?) stares at me.... A lot, my entire family can be in my room... But he only stares at me, does anyones newt or salamander do this? Does it mean anything? Or are they just nosy?

He's probably just giving you death glares in hopes that you feel his penetrating gaze and will rain worms down from above. You are the Bringer of Food.

Mine does that.

...Unless its the rare occasion that my mother is there.
He prefers staring at her much more, and she is deathly terrified of him.

Cute. My axie does that.. stares at me whenever I'm in the room (which is my room actually).
BUT, she is kinda shy, and stares at anyone new... i.e. I'm in the room, Banana is looking at me.. Dad comes in, then Banana steps back watches dad for a few minutes, then realizes he is OK, and comes and smiles. :) Mum comes in.. steps back and GLARES (Banana doesn't like mum for some reason, it is strange). Then my sister Lacey comes in (she brought be Banana for Christmas) and he comes straight to her waves, wriggles and dances.. and then continues watching everyone. It is really funny, Banana has her opinions on everyone.. but like me the best. Hey, who can blame her? :p OK, I'm the one that gives her the food so that is the real reason. ;)

He just ate a worm AND a small minnow... How can he still be hungry?

He can smell the fear, he thrives on it!

when I go into my bedroom where their tank is, my fire bellies swim up and down excitedly and kiss the front pane.

Somehow, I never quite have the same effect on people...

It´ll get worse xD Some of my animals try to bite the glass and swim frantically against it. They sometimes go REALLY mental....
I feel bad for them as i always have the feeling that every time i move i´m frustrating them...

My C.orientalis sometimes appear to bite the glass too! when they spin 360 degrees horizontally with their mouths open, it really makes me laugh.

my Pachytriton labiatus also give the same glare when i was in the room he continuesly follow my movement, maybe he wants to see who is his master.... :D
