Hello,

I have had the great privilege to receive quite a few fertile eggs from my waltl pair! Now seeing that they are a string of eggs it is harder to separate good and bad eggs. I can clearly see most of the eggs developing but see a couple that are starting to mold.

My (noob) question is how to you go about separating them? I have raised a couple of different species from eggs but usually they are laid individually. I have tried with little success without damaging the others. How do others go about? Is it alright to leave them?

(On a side note, it is interesting that the large P.waltl lays such a small sized egg compared to smaller species.)

Thanks!

Mitch

Sorry, don't know the answer to your question, but I just wanted to say that's really odd! My Ribbed newts have just laid, and the eggs are either in small clumps or singley on the plants!

And yes, eggs are teeny relative to the size of these critters!
