This evening I fed my little treasures with a new batch of brine shrimp ( different shrimp eggs) and within momments many of the larvae where up side down and appearing dead. I rinse the shrimp out under filtered water from the filter jug ( new filter in two days ago)..fearing the worst I took out the ones that appeared dead and put them in a bowl . I noticed the albino ones which are a lot smaller all seemed to have some white stuff in their tummies. A while later I was about to dispose of them and most had sprung back to life. They had been fed earlier in the day the remains of the old batch so don't think I had been starving them..I suspect they had eaten so much they had tummy ache. A few of the smaller albino ones did not recover. Are there any suggestions to what else may have gone wrong?

Did you sieve the brine shrimp to remove the eggs (cysts) and eggshells? Maybe a stupid question, but I have made the experience that many larvaes swim bottom-up when they gulped to many eggs (mostly visible as small dots in their stomachs).
I don't have another explanation or idea if you cleansed them nauplias of salt.

Yes I sieved them, but I am pretty sure some eggs tend to remain. When I checked on the supposed dead they were all alive, this morning there was one dead albino( a fair few of these do not seem to be developing as quickly as the others.)
I fed them all again this morning and alls well..I suspect they were just trying to worry me about something else!!

Hi Bellabelloo, I had the same problem when I overfed my youngsters on maggots last week (I know from posting on here maggots were a bad idea) - but, I've not fed them for a couple of days, and they all seem to be happy enough now.
