Outdoor pond for axs

Hi have a question for some one
I'm interested in building a outdoor pond for the summer for my axs . Does any one have a information on this ? I am in wi they will be brought in for the winters in the greenhouse where they are now .
Next is there anyone here in wi also ?

Your best bet on pond-building and concerns info would be to search these forums, since many people have come and gone over the years, and there is a lot of historic info available if you search. Since not many people have outdoor ponds, your chances of one of them being active and seeing this post now are on the low side.

If I recall from the pond related posts I've seen, yes, you can do outside ponds. Concerns would be predators and temperature getting too high, in addition to all of the "regular" concerns with cycling, etc. I think it may be more common in Great Britain, since their climate is less extreme. I know down here in southern Ohio it would be too warm even in the shade, unless the pond were pretty deep.
 
Sounds really cool but I would be afraid of raccoons getting into it
 
Sounds like what you want to do is spend a few hundred dollars minimum to feed some of your neighbourhood raccoons and birds of prey. Honestly just put the effort into a nice indoor display.
