Outdoor Pond for Axolotls Questions

Once I get my Axolotls I am also considering building an outdoor pond. I know these cost quite a bit of money, right now I am aiming for around a 10,000 gallon pond 20ft by 10ft and 10ft deep in the center. I know I will need a pump and a good filter system. My mine question is temperature. I live in Texas, Dallas, and sometimes it will get in the mid 100's. Will a pond that is 10ft deep be deep enough to off set such a high outside temperature? I know putting in a waterfall might also help with cooling and oxygenating the water. I saw Jennifer's indoor pond and I liked it alot( you guys should check it out). Hit me with your best shot and any advise!

I would say build the pond, for sure! If you end up not being able to keep axies in it, there are always goldfish

If you build it this spring, you can test the water temperature throughout the summer months, then decide whether it's going to be suitable for axies. Local predators (roaming cats, wading birds, etc.) are another factor to consider.
